Being the first on this topic, my question to you, why do you play Dark Angels?
Is it because they are hard-hitting, stubborn troops, combined with the most revered and feared Deathwing and Ravenwing? Or is it the background? Does the colour entice you, like a discordant sound to Slaaneshi worshippers?
Well, my go first, and you next.
I like them because they are the first of the first. They are it! They have access to the best weapons, have the best stories, and have everything!
They are also easy to paint (except I take forever)!
Game-wise, their performance is brilliant, if used correctly.
And the look of dark-green warriors, lined up with several of their brethren in revered robes all around, and supported by jet black Ravenwing units and white Deathwing, its just great!

I dont have the marine codex but I am intrigued what makes the chapter different? I understand the idea of Raven wing and Deathwing (I remember Space Hulk) but what other advantages disavdantages does this chapter get?

You are right...the Deathwing and Ravenwings are an advantage...they also get to have plasma Cannons in their Tacticle Squads instead of Las Cannons at no extra points! There is the rule saying that they are 'Stubborn'...Also, they have many great heroes! They have more special things such as Standards...They have the Standard of Fortitude, ehich lets them move AND shoot as normal, Standard of Devastation and the ...er I forget the other one...there is another one! They can HUNT the Falen Angels...FLuff wise...They are the coolest!!
