I have a pure Grey knight army so thats no inquisitors , inducted troops or marine allies , this is a hrad army to play but I feel is the most fluffy and looks great on the battlefield. What do others think? Pure or mixed forces?

Well, I dabbled in Grey Knights very breifly and yes, a pure GK army is very hard to play with. They do look fantastic. Despite this I feel that a mixed army has the edge in gameplay terms (not looks or fluff). I know someone who fields a pure 1000 pt GK army and seems to think that it can beat anything. It consists of 3 squads of 7 GK's with 2 PC's in each and a tooled up grandmaster. I had a look at the list and decided I could blow it away in 2 turns with my IW's. Some stormtroopers, guard or the other cool toys can sometimes prove invaluable.

the GK are pretty hard, but on their ownthey fall quickly to enemy fire. I would say that you *absolutely should take at least Stormtroopers or Inducted Gaurd, or something to support the Knights.
